From director Sarah Polley, “Girls Speaking” stars Rooney Mara, Claire Foy, Jessie Buckley, Judith Ivey, Ben Whishaw, and Frances McDormand. The movie relies on the e-book by Miriam Toews and takes place in a fictional Mennonite neighborhood that has seen the ladies victimized, raped and drugged for half a decade. The perpetrators of the violence are below arrest and the remaining males have left the neighborhood to publish bail. Within the absence of the boys, the ladies debate whether or not to forgive their abusers because the male leaders demand. “Girls Speaking” will launch in choose theaters December 2 after which nationwide December 25.
